Referrals?

I've tried searching the forums but can't seem to find what Referrals under the member profile means. Mine reads as 0 whilst others seem to have one or two. What does this mean?

If you refer a friend to this forum and they join up, they can site you as the person that refered them here and you get a referal. I think thats how it works.

Jay has yet to pay me the large amounts of spondoolies for refering someone, i say someone as i haven't a clue who it was or is. I think it means i have a friend somewhere, i wish the tight git would green me more often and show their appreciation properly.
