As far as I am aware you do need a visa to visit Ras Mohammed, so if I were you, I would bite the bullet and buy one.

Of course I have just got back from holiday, and a lot can happen in two weeks.

We are still telling all our guests to take passports onto the boat, as well as to get a visa for Ras Mohammed... OK they don't always actually check, but you don't want to be the one that gets kicked off the boat on the day that they do.
