15 dollars US, or if exchange rate is good for them 10 UK pounds, if not, then 15 quid.
Dont think they take Egyptian.
I'll meet you at the cemetry gates
US $ is the quickest way to get through the visa desk. It was 15$ last time I went. If you have £ or € it seems to take ages, use $ for the fast track service.
I'm flying Sunday morning for a week with Ocean College...............can't wait!!!!
A note of caution. Buy your own visa from Bank of Egypt teller. Some of the holiday companies will buy your visa for you and charge you $18.

Just got back from Sharm on Thursday. We bought visas in the airport for $15 as usual incase we went to Ras Moh. Went to the dive centre the next day and were told that you don't need a visa to go to Ras Mo on a boat at the moment. Apparently the powers that be feel that the recession is affecting the number of people going on boat trips and that the cost of a visa puts people off so have temporarily waived it. I'd check with the dive centre your diving with before you fly out just to be sure.
interesting, that would save quite a bit for 4 of us.

We didn't go to Ras Mohammed so did not test whether the above was true or not.
The Egyptian press while we were in Egypt carried a story about possibly removing the requirement for all tourist visas for a six month period in the hope of attracting more short stay tourism.

Hi,
Today it was brought to my attention that the wording I used in my replies on this thread were inappropriate, and possibly defamatory to RSDC.
As you can see I have asked the moderators to remove all my posts on this this thread.
I have many friends and aquaitances at RSDC and I did not mean in any way shape or form to say anything untowards them, the people I do know there are the utmost professionals, as I would expect them to be.
I apologise profusely if my replies to postings were taken in any way other than the way they were intended.
