| Not quite in the same league, but at I had my 1st training session with a drysuit this week. Had a stinking cold on the day, that had come on the day before. The illness, combined with the heat inside the suit made it one of the worst experiences of my life. I couldn't co-ordinate, or think straight and had to call time on the training. Afterwards, I felt awful, and to top it all, I split one of the cuff seals on my suit. As it was not an expensive one; I am now looking around for a 'new' suit. I also took my body's advice and took the next two days off work. I'm only feeling 60% normal now, 3 days later I have taken Wednesday's experience as stern warning about making sure I am physically fit before getting into any water (other than the bath). I'm just glad I found out in 2m of swimming pool rather than 20m or more of open water. Cheers Paul |
