| As one of the lesssons learned from this, I realised that the standard clip between the spg and BC wasn't enough, Keith's spg wasn't dangling by more than a couple of inches of hose and the console itself, it wasn't hanging free as I have seen far too often. but even that relatively little bit was enough to snag. My solution is to clip my SPG console across my chest to a D ring on my right shoulder, this has the effect of bringing the gauges up to a point where I just glance down to see them and the only time I need to touch them is if I need the compass which is on the console. | Two large cargo pockets. One on left carries spare mask, strobe, whistle & epirb. One on right carries reel & dsmb. Contents guages come from either cylinder over shoulder and are tucked in through the upper wing chest strap and go straight down and are clipped together. They stay there and don't hang or protrude. Works fantastic as I see both guages when needed. Both regs are on bungee to drop to just below chin. Knife is on inside of leg - NOT outside where it can catch on things. I use inner tube instead of knife straps as they are more reliable and have no catches. By having on inside I can reach with both hands if caught instead of just one (try it now!). Bungee cord is wrapped around knife handle before placing into scabbard. Goody bags are stowed rolled up on inside of leg using inner tube again. Only bit of slightly dangly kit is torch. Andy |
