Poseidon Atmosphere & 1st stage Compatability....

well, back a few years ago I was planning a trip Ice diving in Norway, and fancied a full face mask. I pruchased the Poseidon because I already had a cyclone 5000 metal which I was told would work perfectly.

So I did a try out in the local swimming pool and everything was groovy,
went to Horsea (a whole 6m!) and still everything was toasty warm,

A big test in Vobster - Well, kitted up I jumped in and everything was fine at 6m, 8m ,10m & 12M.....but at 14m I took a breath in and....nothing....just a horrible sufficating feeling! Knowing it was ok at 12m I took a quick fin back up wher I got half a breath, the up a little further and all was normal again! (also had brown stuff in my drysuit by now too )

A quick phone call to Poseidon eliminated the problem....you gotta use the Xstreme 1st stage, but can also us a Jetstream too (which my mate had so I swapped with him....)

Still, learnt from my mistakes ; ALWAYS READ THE LABEL!

(I've also got another fullface mask / norway story but I'll post that tonight - still brings tears to my eyes!)

I've just bought the Divator FFmask...I'd be interested to here all...

Took it to 34m in Stoney and just couldn't get over how comfortable they are...
