I had a skipper last year who took us out on a 30m wreck. We got onsite with 3/4 other ribs around us and gave a good detailed briefing about the boat until he came to recall procedures. He said that he'd gun the engine three times and if we heard that we were to return to the surface. I looked around at the surrounding boats and asked how we would know if it was his engine gunning even assuming we'd hear it at 30m. He went all quiet and then said that he had to say that as it was his LDS policy. Apparently he resigned later that week and went off to Australia. I didn't think I was that nasty to him...
