2 weekends ago, I backrolled off the RIB in Portland. I then realised my pee zip was open on my drysuit . Brings new meaning to freezing yer wotsits off!

To add injury to insult, on the next dive I dekitted and handed up my rig. Unfortunately, I had forgotton to take off my necklaced backup and it sprang back and twatted me in the gob . How I laughed!

Luckily, the pain was reduced by the fact I was so cold I couldnt feel my face

Diving is fun. Honest guv!

Oh oh oh I have a list

I will post it tomorrow .... which will give the guilty parties time to paypal me tenners to avoid mention!

only kidding
best one i saw was a gentleman who will remain nameless (you know who you are) do a great check over on his trainee then jump in without having the reg in his mouth ....thereby not finding out until the critical first underwater breath, that he had in fact forgotten to connect his first stage to the cylinder. How we laughed.

Second best for kit muppetry goes to a certain young lady who managed to do the first 10 mins of a dive on her pony then complain when she got to the surface that her 15l cylinder must have missed being filled ..(it was still full).

Personal best is to tie up the rib next to the big boat in flat calm conditions ...climb onto gunwhale of big boat then remember the key for rib ....step back without looking .

the mobile phone in my pocket didnt survive the ducking.

Hazel

my phone leaped out of a top pocket while I was sorting a spring-line and spent 4 days under the pier before it was recovered after a week in the airing cupboard and a vigorous massage with a pencil eraser the sim card miraculously resurrected itself and lo, I got all my info and numbers back, and the sim card lives still.

My Buddy slipped his drysuit on to launch the rib in Anglesea with his phone in his pocket....

But the funnyist one I've seen is an inversion at 2 meters... his misses asked him to tighten her fin, he duckdived down and ended up with both legs full of air.... thrashed around until he was knackered and both his fins and boots had come off his feet.....then waited to be righted..

Have you ever seen someone try to climb the ladder on the bus stop at stoney with thier fins flapping, still in the drysuit boots.
