Another time they they confiscated an allen key - a very dangerous weapon?!

I had to have fourteen stitches in my hand because of an allen key - and a moment of utter stupidity!


But I guess they dont allow power tools on planes either.

I insisted on my carry on tool box being looked into going on the train thinking everything would be ok but I prefer to ague the toss with British customs than the French coming home.

Imagine my surprise when when hammers screw drivers were fine, but to have only one tube of araldite glue, I dont know if was hardner or the resin but I got grilled about it. My answer is look in the box it must be there seem to be the right answer.

so my word of warning make sure both tubes are together just incase you want to stick someone to death.

Oh, I know a small boy who has succesfully smuggled live ammunition on a plane in his hand baggage.

I lost half a front tooth in my youth due to an allen key and hammer mishap! Bloody BMX seat posts is all I'm going to say

You might've adjusted the seating for extra legroom without paying the uplift fee

I was surrounded by machine-gun toting Guardia Civil in Malaga airport in 1987 when I tried to board a plane with a toy gun I'd bought for my nephew in my hand-luggage. They all found it highly amusing afterwards.

What about the small CO2 DSMB cartridges, could a couple of those get through in with the main baggages or is that not a good idea?

i would say not a good idea, although i cant see it being any worse than a deoderant can, but if they see it they would almost certainly treat it witrh suspicion

reminds of of being in an airport in belfast in the early nineties. I use to do alot of windsurfing and had a board made by "fanatic" in a nice shiny bag with fanatic emblasoned on it in huge letters. I was also carrying a bag of sails made by "Gun" also writen large across the bag.
The army thought it very funny when i was waiting outside for my dad to collect me holding up the gun fanatic sign - they helped us pack the roof rack....... ahhh good times during the troubles...
