This was a lesson this diver will remember for some time

As the title says
If you are new to RHIB diving then be warned.
The incident happened last Sunday on a charter boat while i was under water. Upon sufacing i saw one of the lads on board sitting with his rash vest on & hood. The skipper said that we would have to keep our eyes on Him during the return.

Once everybody was on board it became apparent that the diver entered the water rolling back off the side of the Rhib in the usual manner unfortunately hsi buddy wearing twins did not check that he had surfaced to a safe distance and just rolled back landing straight in his buddies head

Did the skipper not give him the all clear to go?
Or did he just decide to go ahead and roll in himself?

that's why they should either roll together or with a bit of way on the boat rollin sequentially from thwe stern 1st. As you say the will have learned from that, good job he had a hood on, could have been a lot worse.

Ive got no Idea why we where under water at the time and there was no reason to roll in the boat has a lift to step on & off

Pete Swanage Diver is a rhib with a rear lift and very nice it is indeed

And I've dived off it many times, why anyone would want to roll of it baffles me too, those are bloody high tubes and Pete would have done a solid brief re entry too. I was picturing a typical club RHIB.
