CCR / Inspiration forum

Hi all,

In the past I've heard about a forum that's only upen to CCR (or maybe Inspiration) users.

Does anyone know the address etc?

Theres a few, but as you say, you have to be a unit owner to get on them. There isnt really much of a way around this, since the unit owners like having quiet places to discuss where people will tend to keep discussion on base.

The inspiration one is hosted by Gordon Henderson on Drogon. The KISS one is hosted on yahoo groups.

There are open lists elsewhere;

- NWdesigns Rebreather list, open to ALL divers with an interest in CCR, especially homebuilding.
- A yahoo group for people who build rebreathers around the KISS orifice/KISS injection style.
- A smartgroup for people who build/modify draegers.
- Various discussion boards include rebreather sections, including YD and the decostop.

As Zac says the Inspiration has a closed remailer group run by Drogon with the membership authorised by the factory as owners. It gives us the chance to whinge about things without having the antis going "Told you so. Told you so" all the time.

i take it things have improved on the inspiration forum cos 4 years ago it seemed to consist of about 1% stuff worth reading and 99% utter shite.

I agree

I had an in to the YBOD site and I lurked in the background reading threads for about six months. It was prety dull. You can lern a load more on Mad Moles site than you can on the forum.

at least its stayed fairly consistent on the bollocks front
i'll never forget when i first got me RB and the big who ha about the closed forum .
secret passwords and handshakes to get on it , thought i'd joined the masons !
and then when you finally get on it you wish you,d stayed away.
endless streams of bullshit e-mails i don't think me PC ever recovered fully.
like ya say mark if your into YBOD the mad mole site seems to be hard to beat.

after all this talk i can feel a greedy dive coming on ,will have to visit me garage and have a fiddle with me box ohh errrrr
