New Inspiration

I'm all set to enter the world of CCR's however I understand that there is a new Inspiration due out soon with a diferent electronic pack? A bit more like the Evolution??

I cant find any details on it at the moment however my lds is happy to order me one and sort out a course now for when it is released.

I believe it is to be launched at some sort of show which is imminant.

My question really is where can I find out some more details on it and how much better is it likely to be?

Cheers

Hi,

The new one will be called (rather excitingly) the InspirationII. You can buy it in various forms, from just the new electronics (single handset), with head up display and / with deco computer built in. I have heard that they will be due to ship mid to end October.

There is a launch, of sorts at the Dive Show in birmingham at the end of October.

Much more fun is to find the rest of the YD gang and go to the bar.

Andrew

I have a copy of the manual if you want.
PM me and I'll send it to you, unless anyone has some web space.
It was on the APD site, but someone said that it was removed.
Anyway I took a copy, it's a 4.5Mb .pdf.

Hello,

It's better that they finish my unit first, as I think I could not have ordered mine in a worst month that this I have ordered mine on the 15th Aug and still have to wait an otther month min. SO ordering the new unit with a big waiting list, I don't know when the unit will be ready!

Regards

Pierre

I saw an interesting article about the Inspiration in BSAC Dive Magazine that just arrived. The content is nothing unusual but the writer is. Alex Brylske was a founder member of PADI and if my memory serves me right had a lot to do with the original PADI Open Water Diver Manual. Please, someone correct me if I am wrong. So we have a PADI man telling the BSAC people how to do it. So much for the BSAC Rebreather Working Group.

S'ok, none of us believe EVERYTHING we read in the dive mags ; this month's DIVER suggests a way of stowing a long hose is to wrap it twice around your neck!!

Any chance of correcting that in next month's issue?

Why so negative John?

So what if he is a founder of PADI. He was writing as a diver who had never used a rebreather. He was not coming across as telling anyone how to do anything. They could have mentioned the PADI connection in the Bio though, it is a credential to be proud of.

If I wanted to be negative I would have mentioned it on the BSAC forum. I just thought it strange that no-one from the BSAC Rebreather Working Group had thought to write such an article.

etc etc
