I am just gagging to get on there and ask allllllll those newbe questions like: Dear list, what dose the green button do? or Dear list I passed Mod one last week and I need some help with my planned dive on the Britannic at the W/end (You know the sort of thing

So come on how do I get in on the action?

I'm getting very annoyed with 'breather divers showing me little cylinders and saying things like "see this, thats my mix fill for the weekends deep diving - only 6 euros" with a smug smile on their faces. And, they always say this just after they've told me how expensive it will be when I'm doing mix on OC.

Bizzarely, I had a dream the other night that I bought a YBOD. I remember feeling very annoyed with myself cos I said I'd never buy one cos I'd end up killing myself. But I bought it because I was just so tempted.

Its still in it's box I haven’t got any lime (thank God) or temptation would get the better of me. I have finished reading the manual and am about half way through the TDI course book and we start training in anger on Thursday next week. Supposed to be doing the Illinois and the Nuremberg on the W/end as a farewell to O/C trimix but it dosen't look good at the moment.

I have done two try dives on the box, one with no ADV and one with. The no ADV dive was bloody awful but the ADV dive was no problem. The main thing that is becoming apparent is that for OC diving it’s all in the preparation and planning. Once your in the water its a bit of a no brainer. The CCR is (at first appraisal) not like that at all.

I will be doing a course assessment and progress reports for YD so I hope we have a KISS and a YBOD development and training thread going soon.

as i remember ap valves can add you to the list or contact gordon henderson drogon.net and see if he will stick you on.
there is a password to get into the archive stuff and i would check on that before shooting questions that have been done to death in the past.
the password for the archives you will also get from ap/gordon.

Ring APD. You will end up speaking to Nicky - the voice of parts. You will get to know this lady.
She will take your email and sort things out for you. Gordon administers the list but he only takes orders from the factory confirming an owner. The list is a simple remailer with a searchable archive.
The list is rather private as it can get a bit brutal at times but we get Martin Parker coming up and quoting test data that they don't splash around. Please avoid asking questions that will be covered on the course as that always annoys people as it is supposed to be for diving owners.

I start a Kiss course with Martin Robson tomorrow - no RB here yet, but he was running one and I can sit in on the theory.
