I just had a vision of Mark and Andy sitting at the bottom of Wraysbury for three or four days straight, arguing over whether they've clocked up enough hours to go home yet...

I hit 26.3 hours before I left to do a solid week on the box in the Red Sea. I haven’t counted up the hours out there yet but I tried to do a minimum of 1 hour (not easy with the guides) and managed a couple in the region of 100min so that helped. However we are tight so were going to be diving our socks off in the next few weeks then we have the weeks live-aboard in the Red Sea on the 11th Feb to finish off the 100 hours

Paul Marks. He's on the red sea trip with us as well so that will help.

I've got my name down for the course (35hrs left to do...) and I'm happier hearing it isn't just Mix - the course title does seem to be misleading.

I'm with Chasey to a certain extent. Using a normoxic mix for no/short deco dives is a safety element I would miss. Clearly this sort of dive is not the same as the long, deep stuff that calls for the skills I'm hoping I'll be taught on the course. I've done a couple on a gentle mix now and I've been grateful for the clear head. BUT, I carry more than enough offboard mix to get home OC. Again, it's a shame normoxic use couldn't be included in the course for those with the OC ticket...

Days spent chatting up the bird at the hamburger van whilst your dive comp's hanging off a bit of string in the puddle doesn't count either.
Virgin wrecks mate, virgin wrecks...
