Evo electonics available on Inspiration as Inspiration II. Or it you prefer old-style hansets you can get the Inspiration Classic. I think the Evo aimed at sports divers with 50m limit, but I guess folks will take it deeper. RB Instructors on YD can fill in the details & pros/cons. JT |

| As I understand it, the EVO is almost the same price as the INSPIRATION with new electronics, so if you are buying a rebreather why buy the EVO/

| "so if you are buying a rebreather why buy the EVO" That's what I was wondering? Evo seems to be pitched at 'sports' divers more than Tech from the blurb, but actually operating and maintaining the unit seems to have similar effort involved, the electronics are the same and the price is similar, but the Evo has more limitations. A 2hr scrubber doesn't seem to have many advantages for a sports diver because i wouldn't get 4 dives in a weekend out of it without filling the scrubber at least once Am I missing something fundamental about the Evo then? |

| The Evo is much better suited to the diver who travels a lot but wants a full electronically controlled breather (Not a KISS). If and when I upgrade my breather I will get the smaller, lighter less lead less drag EVO. Looking back over my dive logs the 2 1/2 hour scrubber would cover the vast majority of my dives. With the temperature stick in it you could push the scrubber dependent on conditions. The smaller scrubber would result in a lot less waste of sofnalime as invariably I am doing 100min run times and binning the scrubber rather than attempt the next deep dive on a mainly spent unit a week later. I wont dive the unit alpinist on deep dives so the size of the internal cylinders is not an issue. I am assuming I can still plug in off board gas for dill flushes and I would defo use off board gas for suit and wing inflation. ATB Mark Chase
