V02.01.01 incorporates several improvements over previous versions:

1) The dive timer routine has been moved to a separate time slot to other save functions and this ensures dive time accuracy throughout the dive.
2) The switch timing has been amended to improve the switch operation – making it easier to adjust settings.
3) The OTU and CNS warnings have been moved to 100%, as opposed to activating at 80%. The CNS oxygen toxicity table has been capped at the 1.8 value of 2 minutes, so spiking the PPO2 above 1.8 only adds 8% CNS per 10 seconds rather than 255%.
4) Oxygen addition routine improved to give faster PO2 recovery during ascents.
a. The solenoid closed time has been reduced from 6 secs to 3 secs
b. The solenoid closed time is only active when the PO2 is more than 0.05 below setpoint. This means the solenoid is opened continuously 0.05 bar and more below setpoint.
5) The oxygen sensor voting system for the time being is the same as the original Inspiration – the PO2 is assumed to be the average of the closest two and the third is ignored. The cell validation system mentioned in the Vision manuals is deactivated for the time being.
6) In this version the Danish language has been added to English, Spanish, Portuguese, French, German, Flemish, and Czech.
7) In the French language version TTS (time to surface) has been replaced with DTR (Durée Totale de Remontée).
8) The German Text graphics have 5 changes:
9) changed ZZO into TTS
changed the S1 and S2 to C1 and C2.
changed "Sollwert" to Setpoint
“edit_diluent”_changed to " DIL AENDERN "
“edit_gas” changed to " GAS AENDERN "
10) The TTS calculation has been stabilised to prevent the values over-reacting to small PO2 changes.
11) Modified the Dive timer version’s display to show dive time in large characters on line 4.
12) The ascent rate buffer has been modified to make the ascent speed warning less sensitive.
13) Screen resource locking has been used around the gas edit menu preventing screen corruption.
14) A save/use option has been added after gas edit to allow editing without selection.
15) The logbook display pointer has been modified to always start on last logged dive on entry, instead of the first logged dive.
16) Additional diagnostics have been added to detect and handle depth sensor failure: In the event of an electrical failure of the depth sensor being detected on start up the diver will get an option to Dive Now, Y or N? If you select Yes, you are then prompted to calibrate – if Yes is selected then you have to enter the atmospheric pressure manually, the same as the Classic Inspiration electronics and then when it goes into Dive mode it will resort to Dive timer mode – showing only PPO2 and battery information. Should the pressure sensor fail electrically whilst underwater – a red light is shown on each HUD , the buzzer sounds, Pressure Sensor Failure is displayed on the handset. This alarm may be suppressed by pressing and holding the right switch for 2 secs. The depth, and decompression information freezes at this juncture. Since the unit can no longer detect depth, it will not detect the end of dive so when on the surface you would need to remove the batteries to power down.

just updated mine, we will see how it goes. Fingers crossed it should sort out the problems. I have the dive timer option (no deco) and suffer from the dodgy timing issue and once in a while the handset resets its settings (setpoint auto/man, meters to feet etc) Hopefuly it will be sorted now.

Sold my Classic Inspo today, and did a 30min try dive with the new buyer. No problems with the Vision software at all. Timing seems fine, but then again I've got the trimix deco version.

Has anyone upgraded their Dive Timer or Nitrox Deco Vision and been in the water with it? Is the timing problem fixed?

DannyB and I circumnavigated Stoney on our new ex iani scooters as a burn test and the new Vision electronics with 2.01.01 worked nicely. The timings matched my Uwatec DT all the round which they didn't before.

Screenshot of the dump demonmstrating poor bouyancy control with hands full of scooter.

Loaded up the new version on Friday... running Nitrox version at the moment.

3 Dives over the weekend and compared against my VR3 and Vyper there was a difference of only a few seconds in dive time...

Button recognition is also much better... I used to have a slightly tempramental left-hand button on the handset... needed quite a lot of pressure... seems much better now.

All looks good.

Cheers,

Mark

Thumbs up

Tried out my new upgrade to my Evo in Capernwray yesterday - amazing, the timer now reads the same as the backup computer I've been carrying since I first bought the unit!

Also noticed that the ascent rate indicator doesn't seem so sensitive now - didn't get the 'SLOW, SLOW, SLOW' warning every time I lifted my hand up to look at the handset!

The buttons did seem more responsive too, come to think of it. Much better all round I reckon

maybe this is the time to get myself on the Vision list.
Nicky says that wait time is 9 months at present.
