| Well in mate! Have some green. And sound and refreshing reasons for completing it: "giving something back".

![]() Means I can teach a couple of PADI specialties, and assess some skills on the PADI Open Water course. It's just the first step.... Although my Doctor mate (ChrisP) always sniggers, because for him AI is Artificial Insemination!

just wondered as agencies seem to use the same letters for differnt levels BSAC AI Advanced Instructor vs PADI AI Assistant Instructor etc |
| ||||
| Basically the PADI Professional progression goes like this: DM - Dive Master AI - Assistant Instructor OWSI - Open Water Scuba Instructor (can train up to DM's) MSDT - Master Scuba Diver Trainer (an OWSI with 5 specialty instrictor ratings and has certified 25 divers) IDCS - Instructor Development Course Staff instructor (can also train AI's) MI - Master Instructor (status only, need to have certified so many different divers to different levels) CD - Course Director (can also train OWSI's and specialty instructors)
