| Roy, As usual I don't think it matters where you do your IDC but I do think it's important with whom you do it. Paul Chard "Chardy" and myself did it with a guy called Rob Scammell who works for several places around the country including Underwater Explorers and Capernwray, he is very good and PADI know that if you get through him you'll make the grade at IE. When Paul and I did our IE we knew we were well prepared and listening and watching others you could tell we were. All Rob's students passed their IE and this seems to be the norm. The IDC with Rob is tough but it's so worth it. Rob is also an IE Examiner for PADI elsewhere in the world. If you need any further help please feel free to get in touch. Good luck! Mark |

| It's true what Mark said ! I just sent my AI's with him, they are on their IE tomorrow, the IDC's are still tough.

| I did mine with Above & Below in Hull. Reason was they had their own Course Director working at the centre who provides an informal 'career talk' every saturday for anyone interested in becoming an instructor. I found that someone was taking a personal interest in what I wanted as there seemed so many options at the time. As far as the course went it was well structured with a large amount of pool/open water work. If anything I would say that it was alot harder than the IE afterwards. We ALL passed by the way. Hope this helps. |
