| Where for PADI IDC? Gildenburgh? Go Dive? Hello guys. Looking for some views on where to do PADI IDC. So far I have looked at Gildenburgh, Go DIve, London Dive CEntre. Has anyone trained either of these and has any views? Are there other centres you would recommend? The price seems to vary - is it a case of you get what you pay for?? Thanks for any info, Brian |

| You'll probably pay the same to go abroad and do it including flights, etc. Some very good deals around if you look, Thailand is cheap so is Florida.

| Arno Schlosser is a great CD here on Phuket (www.scubaidc.com) as has been said it can prove cheaper to do it out here and in the current situation discounts are available on accomodation etc. Ian

| It is true that you get what you pay for within reason. Once you decide whether you are prepared to do it in UK or abroad, then you can narrow things down. My 2 penny worth is to look at Stoney Cove - The Diver Training set up is excellent, and they use Rob Scammell as CD. (His success rate is beyond question.) If you need further info, PM me and I will provide you with lock, stock & barrel. HTH Steve

Had a guy here on an IDC in December who did his first pool session in a 3 mil shorty.............three and a half hours later he was a lovely shade of purple. He did the next one in a 7 mil semi dry. He learned that you cant hover when you are busy shivering. just my 2 cents worth Michael
