| Aren't they all on the BSAC website, when I attended an O2 course a few weeks ago I had a sneaky look at them. |

| The course notes are only available for the courses where you dont need to be an approved instructor. I've got a set now, a kind YD'er emailed me a set.

| You should be able to find the Powrpoints for the Combined Nitrox Course on "Dive Instruct" www.diveinstruct.org.uk. Hope this helps.

| If you're doing an assist and the lead instructor hasn't sent you a copy then contact them direct... 1. if they haven't, (personal opinion) they're not doing their job right 2. there are LOTS of different versions of the Nitrox sldes (and other SDCs) doing the rounds. If you're going to use a set to prep, you need to make sure that set WILL be used for the actual lesson 3. The probability is, that the Instructor Notes won't match the powerpoint... As stated the powerpoint gets updated "locally", but the notes don't. Therefore use the notes to understand the principles of what the lesson is to deliver (and what the other instructors' lectures are to deliver) NOT what to say for each slide Also: 4. I have a full set you can have, BUT they're HEAVILY modified/updated. They tend to be used on all Yorkshire BSAC regional CNx courses and other (regional) instructors now have a copy of them. They're the result of the last 3 years of instructing/bossing 3/4 CNx courses per year and the input from a wide range of instructors. If you want a set, let me know and I'll email them to you (8Mb) 5. I suspect that if you haven't been given a copy of the lecture(s), then you haven't been given a copy of the practical lesson plans. You really need those so you can go have a practise before the practical day - even if you're doing an observe prior to an assist 6. You should do an "observe" before doing an "assist" PM me if you need more info |

| Don't get too hooked up about the official BSAC ones. When I got my Nitrox Instructors ticket a few years ago I got them sent through. They're in mono on a floppy and pretty boring to say the least. The ones Nick has are excellent and would be much better to use. You really need to be in touch with the Lead Instructor to clarify what you are presenting. He/she also has a duty to ensure that what you teach is in the sylabus (i.e. does not go off on a tangent) and does not overlap with other lectures. I would certainly suggest taking some time to get familiar with them and to look for ways to teach it interactively where poss (teach don't tell). Its all worthwhile in the end though. Good luck
