DM stamina tests

Could I please ask if anyone can clarify a particular point for me, in relation to DM stamina tests. I have been told that, although you must gain a minimum of 12 points, each test of the four must have a minimum of 3 points. However I have exchanged PMs with someone who has recently completed their DM internship and been told that they passed while scoring 1 point on one stamina test and 2 on another. If anyone has a link to the correct PADI guidance on this I would appreciate it

The text below is copied and pasted from the Instructor Manual. If you are any doubt about what you are being told by your instructor may I suggest that you conatct the training department at PADI (switchboard number 0117 3007234), they are most helpful, and answer my stupid questions all the time!

Stamina Assessment and Development
There are four exercises that evaluate
stamina and waterskills, each
rated by points. There is no passing
score for any single exercise, but
a combined score of 12 or more is
required prior to certification. In
addition, candidates must complete
all exercises prior to certi-
fication.
Candidates who fall short of a
combined score of 12 may be given
time to practice and develop their
abilities while continuing in other
areas of the course.

My understanding is it is 4 tests, core up to maximum of 5 points per test, but as long as you complete all (minimum 1 point) then you need to get 12 points to pass.......As sue says (mornin Sue ) the instructor manual is the place to look though

Right thanks guys will point instructor in that direction when he returns from El Hierro and hopefully save my poor old knees (awwwwww) from another attempt at the snorkel (I missed 3 points by a few seconds!)

The clocks went back one hour yesterday!!

It's a shame Michael didn't keep the photo of us looking like the Blue's Sisters - that would have been a reminder of what they looked like

EDIT - Doh, blonde - I see what you mean. Yep - mornin' Conor!!

awwww why did he delete it, I thought he was going to post it? I could have taken it to the police station and showed them (I was there for fecking hours!) so they could circulate it (mind you as they are prescription glasses, they just need to look for the idiot who keeps bumping into things, cos they can't see a thing, wearing cartier sunglasses!)

Ah yes, my definition of morning begins at the point I 'feel' awake and then lasts for about 3 hours. So it normally coincides with what most call afternoon
