Hi Kat, you must now wonder what you have let yourself in for especially if you read the "burd flu" thread. I think that the bugs infecting the site have seeped into some of our brains in the last 24 hours. I've never read so much nonsense, nor have I laughed so much in quite a while.

Oh, I forgot, (rambling) Welcome!!

Hi Jo, I apologise if I'm teaching you to suck eggs but it would be worth taking in an SMB as they had quite a lot of small boats and canoes when we were last there a week and a bit ago.
If you decide not to go in there for whatever reason the Trowse mill is a nice dive and its just acrossthe road from whitlingham, I'll PM my phone no also for later dives and just in case you need an explaining where Trowse mill is.
Have a good one.
Mart

Hi,

We did indeed dive Whittlingham today and the vis was very bad unfortunately. We spent all of about 21 mins total under the surface. First 5 we wend down on a line, and got our bearings, but as soon as my buddy started to move off I swear I could not see her at all! We reunited swiftly at the surface and tried again, this time without going right to the bottom. This was better, we held hands throughout the dive (yep the vis was that bad!). Still a good experience of different diving conditions. In hindsight Mart you are right about needing an smb there, its also worth noting that they now expect you to go to the visitor centre and pay £4 per person to dive there, something that my buddy didn't know about, despite having dived there previously several times recently.

Cheers,

Jo.
