| Hi Phil and welcome. I am not around your area, but I am sure that there will be other clubs that will trainees. You dont say what club they are eg. BSAC/SAA, or a club from a dive school such as PADI. I originally trained with a SAA club, which means a joining fee (mine was £70)/year, and then all the training was free. BSAC operate on a similar principle, wheras with PADI, you will pay per course. Any way you choose is OK. Other than that, I am sure you will learn alot from here, most may go over your head, but if you are unsure, just ask!

| Hi Phil Scarborough SAC are a BSAC club. Whatever way you decide to learn I don't think you'll regret going to see them. They're probably not training because they are a very active club (nice clubhouse too). You'll learn a lot and get some good diving in too. (no i'm not a member) I don't live in the area but dive the north sea at the drop of a hat, I consider it some of the best diving to be had. Good luck with the training |

| Welcome to YD philby - hope you manage to experience diving soon and I'm sure you'll be hooked. Once that happens there are plenty of people here to help you find buddies for a dive - and help you spend any money you might have |
