Been hiding amongst the kelp for a while

Been watching, reading, enjoying and posted a few times - thought it would be polite to introduce myself.
I'm male, 31 yars old, married, got 1 kid and I live on the Llyn Peninsula, North Wales. In order to get some money for beer and diving I teach Geography and ITC at a comp school.

I'm fairly new to diving, but I actually had my first trial dive in 1996, but since funds were scarce at the time it went no further. Last December I had another trial dive with the Lleyn SAC and began training to become an Ocean Diver. After many hours of reading the 'kit' pages on YD I bought a dry suit, bcd, regs + bits and here I am - 6 sea dives down the line and enjoying every minute of it. The only regret that I have is that I didn't perservere and go into debt 10 years ago!

Reading the YD pages has been very informative, confusing? and amusing. Keep up the good work, you've helped out a newby immensely

Thumbs up

Welcome aboard mate

We've plenty of BSAC-wallahs on board, so advice on your chosen route should be smoothed if/when you need any questions answered.

And when you feel ready, have a look at the Planned Trips section and join us for a wet - you'd be welcome

Hi Cyprian,
The Llyn Peninsula? How lucky are you? I had such a lovely trip there earlier this year with the MCS - loads of lovely shallow sites with so much life! And those seals... Will definitely be back that way some time next season.
