Hi everybody

My name is Paul Chapman. I am the Diving Liaison Officer for Humber Coastguard based in Bridlington. I’ve been a member of the BSAC since 1975 (yes that long) and am an Advanced Instructor and 1st Class Diver.

I’m including the contact numbers for the Coastguard Rescue Co-ordination Centres (RCCs) if you have any concerns or questions regarding safety or accident prevention then either call the RCC direct or post it here on the YD website.

Hi there Paul,

I had an excellent chat with two lads from Portland Coastguard at the Diveshow in March and they were very approachable and didn't mind when I asked them a whole load of foolish questions.

It's not as if you don't get on the water enough, but you may find some of the planned trips of interest, it's always good to see new divers join in who have a load of experience, we can all learn something sometime.
