| Hello to all, firstly further apologies to all for starting a thread without posting an intro. Ignorance is no defense just my poor excuse. Found the sight via a link from Nigel Hewitt's various pages(very usefull source of info/advice @ an extremely professional level). Have been reading a few things on the gear forums, again very usefull. Have been diving 17 years, split fairly evenly between this country & abroad. This country has been the usual suspects of the pits for the early days & winter/blown out months. Scapa, oban, s. coast & n. norfolk for the fun part. Abroad has been malta & red sea like the rest of the world. Courtesy of grey funnel line cruises have had the oppurtunity to dive round most of the persian gulf, indian ocean, carribbean, n & s america, antarctic waters, med/black sea, australasia & a little of polynesia. Somtimes it's a very nice job!? Boxes ticked, bits of paper collected are BSAC advanced diver, CI, the rescue quals, the boat handling quals & a few other bits & bobs from other watersports/work related stuff that sometime helps with the diving. Still on simple air scuba, seems to get me in enough trouble with my timekeeping, depths etc. ta for reading, hope it didn't bore you too much? enjoy your diving. |

| Welcome Peachy, Although lack of intros doesn't really bother me, but they are useful as it's nice to have a bit more than your name to go on. Anyway, welcome to YD, there's lots of good stuff here, just remember that it's only the internet. Not real life. Janos
