Hello!

Hello everyone!

I'm a BSAC Ocean diver with approx 35 dives under my belt - Dorothea, Capernwray, Eccy, Trefor Pier, Angelsey, St Abbs etc but unfortunately nothing in warm water, as yet! I started my training in May and have been out at every opportunity since then, so still a little 'green'! I'm not DIR and doubt I ever will be but equally don't think I'm doing it totally wrong and am safe and competent. I do know a couple of YDers but am hoping to meet more, so if anyone is short of a buddy and would like to meet up that would be great! Have transport, can travel and can usually manage some short notice midweek diving too!

I'm sure there's an explaination with the name...as already mentioned, it's a bit scary!

I'm sure the answer will come out eventually (when my time comes, somehow I thing I'll be taking the lift down!)

But welcome anyway, somehow I feel you will fit in just fine!

Keep to the paths....

Hi Sparkles666,

I'm guessing from your dive sites you're a North West diver? If you want to get out then we're doing something most weekends, whether it's training or fun diving. Doesn't matter about being DIR, we cater for everyone - still have people wearing ABLJ's (I'm showing my age!).

Hi Sparkles,

Welcome to YD. If you want dives / buddies, just look and post in the appropriate section - we're a mixed bunch, but we have some laffs

Cheers, Paul

Thank you to everyone for your replies! I suppose it might have helped if I’d filled in my profile – I shall go and do that now! And I promise I’m not completely demonic; I do have a wicked streak but most of the time I’m an absolute angel!

Narked@50 - you’re quite right, it was almost enough to put me off but I’ve been ‘lurking’ for long enough and thought it was about time I introduced myself!

Dive Now Work Never (I wish) – thanks for the offer, I’m sure I’ll be taking you up on it in the near future! I can be found at Eccy most Wednesday nights as it’s close enough to get a midweek dive in and Anglesey most weekends. I’m trying to get my Sports Diver sorted at the moment but my club is dragging its heels a little – when they get round to running the next course I’m sure I’ll need to be doing some practising!

Thanks again everyone, have a lovely weekend whatever you’re up to
