howdy

Hey,

Just a quick hello to break the ice.

Im a CGI animator / TV Puppeteer by day, and any spare time is dedicated to the coolness that is "diving". I am married, with two kids, and they think dad looks silly in his gear....

No idea that diving would have this effect on me, and in fact, prior to the DVD release of a life aquatic, diving wasnt even on the radar..... but the enclosed 2 for 1 intro deal had some bizzare Willy Wonka golden ticket feel to it and now Im hooked and broke!.

The chaps at Tony Backhurst are to blame

Anyhoo, learnt there, had referal dives with Andark at Horsea...... and can't fault either. So via T Backhurst its back to Andark for the Advanced first weekend of Dec.

its going to be a c c c c c cold weekend, and even though I have all my own gear, im seriously doubting my waterproof 7mm semi dry will be warm enough. At 6 foot four, I hope Andark have a Dry Suit tall enough for me. Bbbbbrrrrrrrr

Anyway, I have booked a trip to Sudan for March, cant wait......

So thats me......

Welcome!

Well, if you're at Selsey you have one of the UK's best shore dives on your doorstep - the wonder that is the Selsey Lifeboat Station.

You also used to have a corking RIB operator working off the beach, but he moved to Portland. (Who is taking over Dave's patch btw?)

Loads of us know that area as we love it so much - there's a load of good diving down there. Not least a load of decent skippers - most who post on here too (See above )

Oh - and as for a Drysuit - Go for Made to Measure when you buy one - it's guaranteed to fit and it's worth the extra dough initially. You won't regret it!

Mark.

Welcome to the site Craig...

I made the unfortunate mistake of being born and bred in Selsey and not learning to dive before moving away...

Hope all on the 'Bill is good...

Enjoy YD

Welcome Craig, though this might seem like a Busmans Holiday for you - there's loads of muppets on here.

To kick off I suppose I could be accussed of being Gonzo - let's see were the rest view themselves. Mod's - Waldorf & his mate?
