Hi from Gordon Mackie

Hi
didn't spot the introductions bit....run Standard Life Dive Club (we run dives every saturday through the year - anyone welcome to join us...non denominational BSAC/PADI/DSS welcome). Loch Long and Loch Fyne for shelter in the winter, Forth and east coast in the spring and summer (but still feed the west coast midges in the summer)

Club trips to Scapa / Farnes / Sound of Mull / St Kilda / England etc every year

BSAC A.D. / Instructor - originally Navy Clearance Diver (so still remember SABA sets) - diver since 1972 with several thousand dives, some better than others :-)

Also run a dive travel agency and do a spot of cave diving in Italy mainly as I have a house there.

It's Friday - and I have an underwater Gnome Garden to build tomorrow....and I didn't have my specs on. Mea Culpa!

Gnome Garden

This will be the second Gnome Garden at Kenmore Point - Coatbridge SSA have a gnome garden on the wall heading for Stallion Rock and I am building one amongst the famed White Goods Reef of Kenmore Point. As The Hoover, Washing Machine, Cooker, Lawn Mower etc etc are rusting away, I thought that I would start a Gnome Garden..maybe including the odd Airfix Ship Wreck and even a diving Action Man to revitalise the site...as Loch Fyne is full of rubbish and the local villages (and Inverary) dump their sewage in it and there is a fish farm 100 yards away....a concrete gnome or 2 is hardly going to cause an eco catastrophe.

Hopefully - Gordon's Garden will still be there long after I have been flung on the compost heap.

All welcome to come and contribute to Gordon's Garden

Question

Hi Gordon,

No doubt you'll know Pete Collier? I was part of Divetech for a couple of years before i moved away. Nice to see you on here. Good luck with repopulating the sea. Have you seen the Gnome Garden in Wast Water? (before the Police nicked it?)

Hi Gordon,

I lurk on here at times and make the ocassional post - usually when I am bored at work. But really must get more diving in soon as all this diy work is not good for the soul. Never mind - the kitchen should be done in the next month or so!
