| Imported post Welcome aboard Conor, Yeah, you would probably have found Scubaboard a bit US based to try and get UK things organised. I suspect that there is few of this lot from down your way so try and hook up with them for a few dives to get you into UK diving. Feel free to ask any questions no matter how silly they seem to you, as Mr Tierney says "The only daft question is the one you never asked!" Peter |

| Hey Conor, As Peter says, you are indeed welcome here. Hope we can help in getting you in the water in the UK. If you're in search of advice and/or buddies, just ask mate, we'll get you sorted. Congrats on the new daughter - a gift indeed. Cheers,

| Imported post Hiya welcome on board, we have a few Southerners on here, myself included. Some of us even have bikes, I have a 2001 Triumph Sprint ST, what do you have? 15 month old daughter, a few of us also remember those as well, as Bren says they are indeed a gift, sometimes its hard to remember that though at 4 in the morning My daughter is 21 (years) this year, a non-diver but her 16 yr old brother dives so I only have double the normal expense! Stay safe and maybe we can hook up sometime. You do need to get wet in the UK though, it justifies the expense of the gear. Matt |

| Imported post Hi all Thanks for the warm welcome. Adrian, you were one of the people who pointed me in this direction, so thanks for that, I'll try and kidnap a couple as well. My daughter does bring a lot of fun and a new perspective, and yes the early mornings. The bike is a Ducati ST2, but unfortunately is not seeing much use due to the little one. I would love to be able to combine diving and biking to maximise my free time, but I guess thats why I did the DPV specialty I have been trying to get the courage and opportunity to try UK diving for a while, but with at least half of my weekends spent with my little girl and not having a car I can't really approach it from the club route. So I'll be asking your advice about UK equipment requirements, Dry suit training and selection, and hopefully try and find some like minded people to go and visit the Wonderful Watery World. Cheers Conor

| <font color='#0000FF'>Hi, if you are only just starting to look into UK diving you may want to think about joing a club. This lot are in your area - Cambridge University Underwater Exploration Group. A BSAC club that knows one end of a long hose from the other Regards, Mark. |
