| Well-in Fraser, that man! Never too young, as they say. Just remember to breath and not panic (and put air in your dry-suit and/or BCD as you've been taught) and you should be OK on your 1st boat dive. Welcome aboard YD and let us know how you get on mate. Dive safe and enjoy.

| Imported post Welcome to YD, Fraser! You're just a youngster! I started diving the same year as my 50th birthday and at 65 am diving more than ever. But that's nothing compared to Jacques Cousteau, who was still diving well into his eighties, or Leni Riesenstahl (Hitler's favourite photographer, author of several books and maker of a couple of fantastic underwater films), who started diving in her late sixties and did her last dive shortly after her 100th birthday!!! She died a couple of months ago aged 101, by the way.

| Imported post Hey Fraser, Welcome, welcome. As always, nice to see new member on the boards. As a newby my self I can honistly say this place is 'the place' for you. You'll find lots of nice friendly folks here well willing to give advice on any subject you don't know anything about, and more. I've been to loch Long a few times and can say its a fantastic training facitity, even though its just a narrow strip of gravel along side a bussy road to and from Inverary. Wait until you've seen the Congar mate, It'll make your weekend. Dave C |
