Hi from Elvington

Hi All

Diving was one of those things that I have fancied doing for a while but had not quite got there yet. However having just returned from Zante, where I completed a Try Dive, (So a good 20 mins experience behind me) and realising that it isn't as easy as it looks thought I had better start sooner than later.

I have some mid term plan that involves Sailing and Diving and hence took my Day Skipper course, (Bavaria 36) in Troon Scotland last year, thinking that I need to build up the experience in Sailing. Last week changed my mind and I think the Diving is going to take priority.

So here I am - a beginner looking for advice on where to go

Cheers Ivan

Welcome to the site; whatever help and advice you need to get started in this great activity you'll find plenty of it here - sometimes too much!

Where in Zante did you do your try dive? I was there in July and did a 60 minute shore dive from St. Nicholas' Beach.

Good Luck

Paul

Welcome

Hi All

Thanks for the Welcome.

Paul - I went to Eurodivers in Lagana. Dived near the keri Caves on the South tip of the island. It was ok but you definitely felt as if you were slotted in between the other courses - it was all very rushed. To be honest I wasn't that comfortable and was glad to get back to the surface. Hasn't put me off though - looking forward to the adventure.

cheers

Ivan
