| Hi from Teignmouth Hello, I was searching the net for ideas on what would be my next drysuit ... and stumbled across this forum. it's been extremely helpful! I have a Beaver Polaris (4mm compressed neoprene, latex neck and wrists - now called the Eurotec) ... although just recently it has sprung a few leaks. i had it pressure tested by o'three (they didnt charge!) and their view was it would be better to put the repair money (c.£200) to a new suit. i agreed i had been using it with a 200g thinsulate undersuit - very warm even in midwinter, although i had to use a lot of lead to get down, which i was always very aware of during the dive so the current decision is either to get an 03 msf500 / pbb or a membrane suit like oceanic flexia / weezle. also been reading about seaskin and protec, although not sure about longevity of either. i had thought that id always be a neoprene diver because of the increased thermal protection (i feel the cold quite fast) but having read the replies here and seeing how far the undergarments have improved, im erring towards a membrane any thoughts most welcome, cheers chris |
