Hello !

i hope i am doing this right as this is my first post on a diving forum.

i have been told to say something about myself by the site, so here goes:

i am looking for people to dive with as buddies as i'm all alone now after my partner passed away last year. i was recommended to start diving as therapy for my grief and it has been my salvation.
i am a padi advanced open water diver with 80 dives so far and learnt to dive with a diving school in Cornwall. i am now living near Hull and would like to continue to carry on learning about diving.

is this the sort of information that is required from me? any help would be appreciated as i am a genuine person.

thankyou.

Good evening and welcome, ask away. Be warned they will be gentle with you at first - but soon they will treat you like a piece of the furniture.

Talking Therapy

Diving is great therapy, and YD makes up for the times when you can't get wet.

Erm, except for when you are supposed to be at work!

Sorry to hear about your partner, and yes, a few of us can admit that diving is good therapy!

Welcome to YD!

Thank you all for your welcomes! I do hope to dive with some of you one day and also make new friends in doing so!

Such a pity that my partner is no longer around to see me underwater as i know he would have been proud of me! We enjoyed lots of other watersports together but never tried scuba diving!

Welcome aboard. There's a good feel about this forum, I haven't been here long myself but have been made to feel very welcome.

Best wishes
