Hello from sunny Southampton

Been lurking here for a short time, so thought it was time to register and say hello.
I started diving 3 years ago and have so far been to Malta (twice), Medes Is in Spain, Lanzarote and, to cap it all, a week on Grand Sea Serpent last year to the deep South where I had the pleasure of coming face to face with a OWT.

I've also done about a dozen UK dives but find it hard to get the time.
Ive done a bit over 100 dives and am Padi Rescue with Nitrox and deep dive specialities which I took on GSS - well worth it for the free Nitrox.
Im off out to Djibouti with TBS at the end of the month to hopefully see some Whalesharks so will be asking for advice/experiences.

I'm pretty new to this forum business so apologise if Icock up in advance.

Hopeless

Hello Phil, welcome to the boards. I'm generally a lurker, not a poster, not least because I'm rubbish at this abbreviation thing. What's an OWT? Open Water Turtle? Open Water Twit? One Weird T0sser?

Ah. thanks. Now I see. Not come across many of those on the south coast.
Mind you, with global warming, maybe I should add a "yet" to that.

Yo-Yo Divers

Hi Phil.
I did some teaching for Rick at Yo-Yo in Southampton a couple of years ago, must say I found him to be a great bloke and would recomend them over Andark any day.
Happy diving.
Jon
