You never complained!

Well I'm 100 posts in and the YD Police didn't complain that I haven't introduced myself! Yes, I'm disappointed. Anyway, on with the intro...

My father and uncle were divers in the 70s and I did loads of snorkelling from an early age in Bermuda (my Grandmother lives there so we did some serious summer holidays). A little while later I did a try dive in Bermuda and loved it.

I joined a club at Poly in 1988 but didn't really get on with the trainers being as I thought (and still do) that they were teaching rubbish so I left again without managing to touch any kit.

Eventually I persuaded a couple of mates to learn to dive at Slaters Scuba Centre, Preston in 2003. I loved it and after a slow start - lack of mates and being the new boy - dive as often as I am allowed by my non diving wife who far more understanding about these things that I'd have thought.
