Never Actually Did This First Time

I didn't do an introduction in the first place. So here goes:

I first started diving after uni. I was backpacking around Australia for 3 months in 1991 and I got to Airlie Beach and it seemed compulsory to do a diving course. After I did it, I vowed that there was no point in doing my AOW, as I didn't want to go deeper than 18m. Did a couple of dives in Byron Bay. Then in the next 3 years, I only did two dives.

In 1995, I booked a holiday to Fesdu in the Maldives. Did a quick refresher down the pool and went out there and did 15 dives. When I got back, I decided to do my AOW in Cornwall. My first UK dive was the Volnay.

I started going through the courses a bit quicker then. Got to DM in 1998, though I've never had any interest in teaching really. Then I did my TDI advanced trimix in 1999 in Dorothea. That was also the last time I dived Stoney Cove. Hate the place.

I did my Intro Cave with Martyn Farr in 2002 and finally did my full cave in Mexico earlier this year.

My favourite dives are:
Dos Ojos, a cave in Mexico
President Coolidge, a huge wreck in Vanuatu
Moldavia, which I really must get out to next year
the Maldives
