New Diver and another New Thread

Just joined so i guess i better say a bit about my self.

I'm a southerner living in the north (by choice - the beer, houses and women are cheeper).

First went diving in a quarry in the Domincian Republic - i have no idea why we did it in a quarry - about 3 years ago and got my PADI Open Water. For some strange reason i liked the quarry better than the sea. It was just more interesting and weird. The sea was.....well colourful and like HD Television. Any way as it does life got in the way and I never dived again.

Finally decided that enough was enough and joined my local BSAC Club, I am now working on Sports Diver.

Any way what i know about diving could be written on the back of a ladybird - if only they would stay still long enough. So forgive me if i say something stupid.

Welcome to YD. Puddles ARE fine. In much the same way that HP baked beans are fine if you really can't get Heinz...

welcome aboard gerbil (not sure about the cheeper women thing, they're high maintainance items EVERYWHERE are'nt they?

First went diving in a quarry in the Domincian Republic - i have no idea why we did it in a quarry - about 3 years ago and got my PADI Open Water. For some strange reason i liked the quarry better than the sea.

wash your mouth out with soap.....

agency crossover gives you a good perspective on some of the "dissagreements" sometimes expressed on here, so some valuable input to come i hope? ask your questions, there's no such thing as a daft one!

not for long plenty of knowledge here to make use of. make the best of it.

- if only they would stay still long enough.

RAID, slows em down! ( tesco's own brand is cheaper )

So forgive me if i say something stupid.
probably

mike.

A co-worker of mine does cave diving (wouldnt be suprised if he crops up on here) and pot holing. Under water i don't feel cluastrophobic, even in low vis, but in caves....now there is something just not right. But we will see
