Hello All, HELP urgent needed, E-bay fraud

I have spoken to the good people in Cambridgeshire police, they are very helpful, the crime needs to be recorded with them, I will email you the details on how to get hold of them and so forth, since the address of the suspect is known to be Cambridgeshire the crime of fraud by false represententation has occured there.. I have not investigated this myself but have this first hand from a very good inspector collegue of mine, who incidentially is head of crime investigations - just to clarify for those on YD that feel that being helpful and trying your best for other people is not acceptable...

eh where on earth did that come from? the thread shows nothing but praise for you trying to assist in this situation...or am i missing something?

I live relatively near by and am quite likely to be driving though March this weekend. I guess we should see what happens will the police first.

Out of curisouity though, have you spoken to the person? Has he said he has sent it? Is it possible he is on Holiday? or is sending it by llama? I'm not doubting it is dodgy, but if none of the above have happened I could help track down his phone number or dive club.

I'm racking my somewhat poor memory, but i've a feeling i've heard of that address before on YD and it was involving the sale of an Insperation, exactly the same thing with a seller ripping someone off to the tune of £4k.

I just had a look online, the address is a Spar convenience shop in March which has the following telephone number +44 (0)1354 659800 so you could try calling and asking if they have any idea. It could be that the guy has a flat above the shop, or is on holiday, or doesn't have internet access etc.

as you say 23 is a retail unit, which does have ground floor accomodation only

Yup, chances are the shop staff will know the guy above
