Hello All, HELP urgent needed, E-bay fraud

Hi All,

I am living in Denmark, keen CMAS / IANTD open circuit diver for many years.

Cost of rebreathers in DK is high (VAT, +25%)

I am writing in this forum to see if anyone can help me.
I won azimuth rebreather on ebay.co.uk, the seller roy43son@yahoo.com,

Roy Anderson, 23, Wisbech Rd, March, Cambridgeshire PE15 8ED, United Kingdom

He received payment but have not shipped nor is he responding to e-mails from me or from ebay.

Does anyone have any advise?

If nothing else... Please beware of this guy....

I am aware this is unconventional but I am out of options.

can I just clarify in case there is any doubt, my help to Jakob will be within my own working allowances working within the police and the help of police officers who are working on our requests - at no point have I tried to mislead saying I am an officer, I can assure you this, all I wanted to do was try to help using my contacts a person in need.... next time I will think twice I promise you that...

Dont anyone assume just because you know someone of this name or of this address that you may know who is involved.

Ebay fraud's are all to common if one doesn't follow the rules. The enquries need to be made by the police force. Under the national crime recording standards the matter is to be investigated by the force in which the crime occured. In this case that is NOT known. What we actually know is that someone claimed to be living in Wisbeach, and that they requested payment to be sent to Western Union - in fact with the correct paperwork that payment could have been collected at any one of a number of locations.

Jacob, you must
report this to your local police service. they will [i'm assuming they have the same powers as in the UK] make enquiries with Ebay Western Union & with Yahoo to obtain the details of the account holder. having established where money was cashed. having obtained those details they will then know where the offence was committed then the papers will need to be transfered to the force which covers that area to investigate further.
