Cheers everyone - where should I go diving this weekend?? In the past I've been to some of the wrecks in Weymouth.

Wouldn't be averse to a shake down dive in a quarry, etc. Any more tips?

Try Cromhall Quarry, about 10 miles north of the city. It`s only open Sat & Sun. Max depth is around 16 mtrs. Only cost £10 for the entrance fee.

as youre working in Bath - you may want to use the Bath Dive Centre, according to their site they do air and nitrox fills.

Thats the thing with Bristol, we have three inland Dive sites on our doorstep, the coast is only an hour away and we have some very good LDS as well.

Dive Monkeys don't supply EAN yet .... Currently looking into it, but they can fill 02 cleaned cylinders with triple filtered air.

Vobster and NDAC both do supply EAN so if your going to either of these sites then you can get it there.

Subaquaholics, in St Annes is a branch of Mikes Diving. They have been brilliant to me and do nitrox as well. They are in St Annes village, down by the industrial estate. Very friendly and do trips in Uk and away. Plus you can park easily in the car park about 8 yards from the door of the shop !!! They are 5 mins drive from the centre (minus traffic of course !)
Bath dive centre are also very friendly though parking is a pain.

    Hey Bardo

You obviously haven't been there for some time.

I have a few horror stories to tell. But thats another story.

They are restricted in when they can fill as the shop next door complains, they occasionally do nitrox as they have limited space for O2, and do not offer trimix.

Personally I would pop over the bridge and try the NDAC.

Bristol - a great place (where my home is when I'm in the UK) - littered with good dive shops. Add in Spike at Subaquaholics / aka Mikes Waterfront Warehouse and Bristol Channel Diving (Neil Brock) over the bridge.

The dive clubs are also friendly - Severnside SAC do nitrox for members.

Feel free to PM if you need contact details of SSAC

Pay £10 in fuel and £5.30 to get across the bridge just for a £5 EANx fill..... Don't think so....

There are plenty of places in Bristol I'll stick to supporting the local LDS thanks and saving my money. I like to keep all of the local LDS in business it widens my choice.

Phone around first if one can't fill one of the others surely can.

    Hi guys,

Dive Monkeys do Nitrox, O2 for rebreathers, just give them a ring and check how the 02 banks are doing. They are full at the moment.
