Historical pics...

Hi Adrian,

Hi there, I haven't been on here for months so sorry for the delay but here are some pics I reckoned may bring a nostalgic tear to rheumy old sea dog eyes. Please show them to the offending parties with my best wishes!

I believe this was taken at Exmouth or Teignmouth in about spring '89/90.
From left to right - Tim Cashman, Phil Dale, Chris Giles, ?, ?
The club used to have 3 x 15' Zodiacs, each with a 40 horse Mariner, this is Z3.
I can't remember what the things are called that they are wearing round their necks and god only knows what they were for.
And what has Phil Dale got on his body?
Actually that is a mighty fine example of a Napoleonic-era limpet-mine-removal frogman's outfit bought for 2 guineas from Woods of Crediton. Wonder if they are still going strong?

This is from a trip to the DDRC in '89.
From Left to Right:
Gary Edwards, Phil Dale, Neil Gibbons, Steve Woods, David Simon (me), Julie Woods (nee Gale), Alan Walker, DDRC bloke, Elwyn Catford, Elwyn's son, Pete Woods, Nigel Chappel, Mark Thomas, Graeme Robb

Anyway, happy and safe diving to all of you.

Dave Simon

Dave,

Definitely a few familiar faces there. Although they may have less hair, more body etc.

Must pass these on

Edit: Would you allow PMs for a while, I'd like to pass something on off line.

Adrian

Wow, Borat was a member of your club in '89, although he seemed to be calling himself Phil Dale then

Hi there Adrian,

Pleased you liked them. Funny thing is that out of many 10s of dives over quite a few years no one seemed to take cameras out in those days so these are the only pics I have.

ps - PMs are enabled as far as I know, at least the box is ticked in my profile.

Hope you have as good an evening as I am going to 'cos it is pub night now!

All the best

David
