Nice to meet you I'm Bertie B
Well Hi

I have been diving now for 8 years I've been diving in the Redsea, Cyprus, Curcao, Thailand and UK and have accrued something in the order of 350 dives with an equal spread between warm water and not so warm

I live in Woking in Surrey and am an active member of my local dive club Surrey Aquanauts, because I was a bit slow after a few pints one night I now have a Princely title of Expeditions officer which basically means it is down to me to gaze into crystal balls and organise and book up the tides, weather, dive boats & hotel accomodation.

Oh yes and if I get it wrong I soon hear about it as there are plenty to moan when it goes wrong.

Still I am either doing a reasonable job or no-one else thinks they can do better as I have now been doing it for the last 3 years.

I learned to dive in the Padi system and have now pasted over to the dark side as I found once you had achieved the status as Master Scuba Diver there were no more personal goals to reach inorder to keep your training up today.

Having pasted over I have now progressed on to dive leader and am contemplating moving on to Advanced Diver.

Well thats my potted history hope it gives you a bit of background

2007: 161 sea dives incl shetland, north isles, lots of scapa, norway & 30 in the red sea
2008: 86sea dives (19 in marsa shagra) bitten fins at May island
