Welcome to the YDF, like yourself I am relatively new to diving and this forum. Just passed my Open Water on Sunday and now spending millions (well not quite) on getting my kit together and looking forward to the adventures ahead plus doing my advanced open water.

I am sure you will. For me it was overcoming my fears, once I realised I had little to worry about the course was a lot easier. Something I have come to realise whilst doing the course is the importance of bouancy - something I need to work on myself.

I've just seen your location. There is a BSAC Club in Helensburgh one member of which is a very good friend of mine - except she's in New Zealand for a couple of more months IIRC.

The BSAC website will have the locations of all the BSAC Clubs if you can't find it directly in town although I'm pretty sure it's this one:
