Hi there
Read this site loads of times but never really got round to joining and taking the plunge to meet other like minded people to dive with.

I have been diving for approx 18 years and love wrecks. Dived all over the UK and Norway. Twin set and and a big torch, good company and a hot cup of tea when you get out , what more can a man want. Based in Sheffield, which as you know is by the sea! not. Can't wait for the east coast season to start again.

I hope to join in the discussions and time willing, perhaps join trips.

What do you mean by 'diving season starts' - Diving has a season?

As for season 2mtrs off Bridlington is top viz anything else is a bonus. Although I regularly had 4 -7 mtrs last summer and the odd days the North sea transforms into the Med ! honest, well perhaps I was just more than happy with 10+ mtrs viz. I have tried it in the winter on the days when its calm enough, looks great dropping in until 3 -4 mtrs from the sea bed and then you drop into the layer of very dark stuff and its a csae of feel the wreck rather than see it.
Anyway salt water immersion is good for your mental health so if you can over dose then I plan to go bonkers this year, wife willing.

Thanks for your welcome , you are right , seems friendly unlike some other forums where unless you are in the inner circle posts your posts are ignored.

Do you use Tony Pockleys boat from Bridlington at all ? I used it a few times last year and filled spaces through a Dive shop in Hull, worked fine. Met a lad called Paul Simpson from Chesterfield who has called me a few times for these trips, wonder if you know him.
