As for UK diving - well where to start. You are lucky enough to live in the best place in the world for exciting wreck diving. It's dark and chilly, but for sights to see we are second to none. I can only mention the places I have been to, but here's a small list of good places to dive: St. Abbs in Scotland Pembrokeshire in Wales Brighton, Swanage, Dover, Weymouth, Portsmouth, Eastbourne All these places have regular charters and dives catering from the new to the tech. jump to the planned spaces/trips section of the forum or the buddies wanted section and you will see trips organised to these and others all the time. If the weather is bad then you always have time to practice, and one of my own mottos is "train hard, fight easy" so I spent/spend a lot of time in Stoney Cove, Gildenburgh Water, NDAC in Chepstow and Vobster Quay. They are nice little inland sites/quarries that make for safe kit fettling, training and just gaining confidence. Hang around on YD long enough and you will see that whilst is looks cliquey it really isn't, and alot of us dive with each other here and there. ![]()
