Smile Edinburgh / Stromness :)

Hello from a newbie to this site!

I am a padi rescue diver, i have dived extensively on the east and west coasts of Scotland as well as the Maldives and red sea, And of course Scapa flow

I am a bit rusty as my dive buddy moved to stromness some years ago and the dive shop i used to dive with went pop when chris left to head to Orkney with his wife Georgette

I spend a great deal of time in strommness and have made a lot of very good friends there, So this year i am, with a little help from barry white and John Thornton and his superb boat the "karin" I intend to get back into the swing of things!

I totally love scapa flow, its the best! i have about 60 dives there, the blockships are AMAZING!! I have even been lucky enough to dive the "Inverlane" before it fell over!

So hi to all, and i hope to see you at the flow!

cheers robin galloway.

Question

Welcome.

I take it you live in Edinburgh currently? Who do you dive with?? Outfit not your actual buddy's name.

Hello, good evening and welcome!

Glad to hear you're getting back in the water - about time too! And Scapa Flow - what a place to get back into it! Of course I'm slightly biased in that it starts at the end of my back garden...! Please be careful with the order of sunshine to the Council though - they might have to raise the council tax!

Anyway Robin, look forward to seeing you when you're back up. Does your 3 week trip include the weekend of the wedding? Remember to bring your dancing shoes!

Best wishes

Kirstie
