| Free Diving Thought it was about time I joined this Web 2.0 world! So, complete with my blog at Brendiver's World I've decided to join in with the big world wide diving discussion. Some history: Joined the BSAC National Snorkelling Club in 1974, did my first dive in 1978 (all with Hazel Grove and Bramhall BSAC) in the Blue Pool (not very blue) quarry in North Wales (does anyone still dive there or have the dead sheep put too many people off?) Dundee University BSAC from 1981 to 1983 (fondest memory - peeing in wetsuit dives, this seemed to apply to all of them, no drysuits back then). Big gap while I stupidly focused on my career until I moved overseas in 1989 with my job and got back into diving again with Bermuda BSAC. Back home in 92, got into u/w photography and began to write some stuff for the diving press. Still do, mainly for DIVER. If anyone remembers me from Hazel Grove and Bramhall, Dundee (Jonathan Outboard Motor - you still diving?) or Bermuda I'd love to hear from you. Looking forward to joining in with some of the discussions, I'm particularly interested in travel, diving, underwater photography and writing about stuff. best regards Brendan PS - Avatar is me learning how to freedive for something I did in DIVER (1999 I think) Last edited by Brendiver : 04-05-08 at 10:29 PM. |
