Hello from Kent

Hello to YD, I am new to the site and originally hail from Moreton on Merseyside. I now live in Hayes, Kent (via South Africa). I am still a novice (25 dives) and most of those dives were abroad. Hoping to get wet in the UK and increase my experience. Look forward to hearing from you fellow divers.
Cheers

Hi Neil,

welcome to YD. Take a look at the planned trips section and see if there is anything that takes your fancy.

Thumbs up

Hi and welcome!

As Mark says, take a mosey over to Planned Trips and see if there is anything which grabs your fancy. We have a BIG YD get-together planned in Anglesey for the end of this month, so that'd be a good time to come up and meet a lot of us. I know it is a bit of a hike from Kent, but should be a good laugh (Post dive Beach BBQ etc).

Anyway, hopefully see you in the water on a YD trip some time soon

All the best
Helen

Welcome to YD Neil.

These swine always seem to arrange the big yearly bash for a weekend I can't make too, 2 years running now - this time they even asked me first, just to be sure! Next time....

As you're one of the Southerners I might see you on a dive sometime. There's a fair few down here, so Planned Trips and Need a Buddy sections can get you in the water no worries.

Enjoy the site,
Dave.

Hi Neil

Have fun on the board and go diving, it may be worth getting together with a couple of the more experienced divers down your way first to get a bit more experience before you get too set on the trips if you haven't done much in the UK as it can be a bit more challenging. Don't take this as a put off, it's more of a "don't" get put off.
