Thumbs up I'm new!!

Hi to all of you on the YD site.
I joined the site as a result of recommendation from a couple of divers who I went on a recent diving course with. I'm interested in diving weekends really but could do the odd midweek (being self employed doesn't always give me the time I want)!!
I live in North Yorkshire and have a static caravan 10/15 minutes from The Farne Islands, so I could do trips there most of the time.
The site and the community looks great and I look forward to joining on future trips.
Great to see so many like minded divers around!!
Bye for now

Hi,

Welcome to YD,

I think there's a Farnes Gig in the offing- check out "Planned Trips" and get in amongst it.
Take care up there, though, you're in the "Porg-zone" and IIRC she's just started driving lessons

Dive safe,
Terry

Hey Gram,

Welcome to YD! I think you'll be popular, what with a hootch that close to the Farnes! Get yourself on a wet with us soon (see both Planned Trips and Need a Buddy sections).

Cheers,

Hi Gram43

Welcome to YD in all it's glory, there is lots of good advice to be had here and I often find what I don't know, someone else does. There is indead a Farns trip soon, but it's mid week, 24th-26th August, check the "planned trips" section for it or PM "Porg". Join in and have fun.

Hiya Gram!

Welcome on board! It's real friendly bunch on here so get in amongst the threads!

Looks like you will be popular if you have a caravan near the Farnes!!! Do you rent it out at all...if not you should! You'd be onto a winner there!!!

Thumbs up Reply to my new intro

Hi to all of you who sent me a welcome message, thanks!

Most of you noticed the bit about my caravan and more info' is that it's at Newton By The Sea (10 minutes from Beadnell and a great walk along the beach). The sad part is that it's only a small site and our caravan is only 3 months old. Whereas we cannot hire it (rules of the site), we can allow others to stay as long as I or the wife attend. So, it looks like I'll be going on a number of trips to the Farnes!!
I'm checking my diary today and hope to be able to get on the forthcoming trip.
If the site rules on our caravan change, I'll put a big posting on YD for sure.

Be good out there!!

Cheers Gram!

Keep us posted on the caravan situation. We would be very interested in coming up to stay with you if you don't mind a couple of Midlanders annoying you for a day or two!!!
